Swansea Bowling Club Bowling Green Conversion

Synthetic Sports Group was engaged by Swansea Bowling Club to reconstruct their 37m x 37m bowling green in Swansea, NSW. The club required a high-performing, low-maintenance surface that could support play in both north-south and east-west directions while meeting World Bowls tolerances for flatness.

Following site establishment and geotechnical investigation, the existing green was excavated and prepared with a geofabric base layer. A new concrete plinth was constructed around the perimeter, followed by a free-draining bonded aggregate base to create a stable, reliable foundation.

The green was finished with SuperGrasse® GreenMaster® Pro, a premium sand-dressed synthetic bowling surface laid diagonally to allow flexible play. The ditch wall surrounds were also upgraded using Synlawn Coolplay gravel synthetic grass, fully adhered and neatly integrated into the finished green.
