Smithfield Park – Cricket Wicket

Following a rigorous tendering process, Fairfield City Council engaged Synthetic Sports Group to construct a new two-bay Cricket Facility at Smithfield Park in NSW.

The Synthetic Sports Group team was enlisted to demolish and dispose of the existing concrete slab, fencing, and synthetic grass before commencing earthworks and construction for the new concrete slab. We then supplied and installed new Supergrasse Shield Cricket Grass, with line marking for required creases, on the new slab, as well as the supply and installation of Synlawn Fresh Cut Synthetic Grass on the newly compacted roadbase run-up area.

Also included in this construction was a new peaked roof, cricket netting structure installed to the highest Australian Cricket Standards. Synthetic Sports Group hit this one for six, ensuring the facility’s quality and safety.

Thanks for completing the project at Smithfield Park for the replacement of the Cricket Wicket & Nets. The project was run smoothly and efficiently without any disruptions. Dealing with Synthetic Sports Group on this project was a pleasure and we would happily do so again.

I would have no hesitation in recommending your company for upcoming works if you needed any references.
