2024 SAPIA Award Winners | 🥉 3rd Surfacing – Sports Fields
Synthetic Sports Group were engaged to supply and install 6800m2 of Field Turf Synthetic Grass at Engadine West Public School. This project involved a complicated layout, comprising of a 6 x lane 80m sprint track merging with a 6 x lane athletics track. This surrounded an internal multisport area, including netball/futsal, and a full sized cricket pitch in the middle.
We were met with a poor weather conditions including flooding and strong winds, requiring several base rectifications and reinstallation of grass. We also had to look at several changes in design, and as a consequence our team were required to change the circumference of the running track with customisation taking place onsite during installation.
This project was completed to the delight of the school, with glowing feedback from all the kids, and also won 3rd place at the 2024 SAPIA Awards.
